Samplitude is great. but the upgrade is a joke. there is a tonne of stuff they still won't address, stuff which would make them notably more...
i like UltraChannel sound, but the GUI is so tiny.... ( on my machine at least).. i am using this TBProaudio CS3301 mostly at the moment..
+1 for Tiny Firewall. light and straightforward to use. i like it more than Window's own ( which is ok i guess)..

i use it to make drum loops more 'clippy' or tighter so it pops a bit... and cuts out unwanted noise

i've tried both and Samplitude wins hands-down. sam has a feature called object editing, basically whenever you have a clip you can add effects...
^^ this is correct. it is a template called Basic with limiter. you can just resave a version with the limiter not loaded...
