I left Cubase for S1 and there's no way I'm ever getting back to Cubase. S1 is much more intuitive and the workflow is easier and lighter...
For info, I'm using Win 8.1 x64 on a five years old laptop with Studio One. Just so you know, the laptop only has 3 GB of RAM (not even four!)...
Why not look at a Hackintosh instead of these?
