No. If that was the case, you would not be able to process stereo sources with m/s plugins. The plugin separates those channels, it doesnt matter...

For that kind of money i would first get a summing mixer. SSL and Sand comps sound very good.
You can have two mono external plugins or one stereo plugin and you can process a stereo source in M/S.
Seeing how klark teknik clones sound good and cost as much as some plugins, i would agree.
Insert it as an external plugin in your daw and make it M/S. :cool:
