ASIO driver. Lower your buffer size.
Cardiak's kit isn't great, by the way. Trust me, you already have every sound in that kit.
I totally agree. Beat Butcha's kits are good. It seems he actually tries to combine and create new sounds while others just copy and paste other...
I'm starting to believe this. Bitwig is the Chupacabra of DAWs.
In these times, there isn't one DAW that's perfect. Find the DAW you can deal with.
I don't intend to switch off of the topic, but for a while now, I haven't seen any significant difference in performance going 64-bit. Especially...
On Mavericks, also. 9.1 32 bit. No spikes or erratic CPU issues.
Man, demo them all. Do as much demos as possible. Reaper, Live, Studio One, FL. Try them all out.
Bitwig? Did you demo it?
I know they have a MIDI FX Arpeggiator that you insert on the strip, but nothing similar to FL's.
808s are abused. Sounds in HD make some good drum kits, though. They have a new one for about $59, which is slightly hefty, but their drums are...
I was told AAX look for the Pace protection. Without it, it won't work. Not to mention, the popularity with using Pro Tools isn't that great with...
I don't even think teams wanna even waste their time on AAX. And PT 10 doesn't support AAX64. Only AAX32 bit. If I were you, I'd get the PT11...
FL's not my main, but I think it has the best midi editor/piano roll by far. Remember, this is my "opinion"
I suggest you get an SSD to speed that up. The price on them are dropping. Make sure the hardware is competent before the software. Tone2 and NI...
Nikon, that may be true, but Ableton is CPU crazy. I have a 2.6 GHz 16 GB Mac Mini now, but even when I had my Mac Pro with 12 cores and 32 GB...
Maybe check your buffer? Typically, you want to raise the buffer size when mixing and lower it when recording/composing.
Make sure you have no other programs running, of course. And maybe try clicking the CPU load meter off then back on to see if that works. I love...
Everything works. Pretty seamless. I don't notice any difference from 10.8.5, however, but it's not worse.
