Think it is something to do with you graphics card,I had a similar problem on a older computer i had. Have you tried in a different Daw?

Any MIDI Keyboard will work with Studio One as far as i know. How many keys? Just a plain keyboard or one with extra stuff?
Probably just a Windows 7 skin or theme (What ever you want to call it) it's just like you can make windows look like a mac..
