I think you might have a classic case of grounding issues are you using any unbalanced cables such as RCA, or "Mono" 1/4 inch cables? if so...

The Novation Launchkey has a better build then the Air Mini but it was developed for abelton. The buttons on the unit are clip launch buttons...
