I found this article to be very helpful man. I dunno what daw you use. But i use Live 9. And while im setting all my levels I usally instead of lower the master fader down 5 db i leave it 0db but instead move all my channels faders down. I say I normally try to set my kick output level to -12db then go from there. Good luck and have fun man! Brian
