Kontakt always worked well for me, but now I updraded to a new computer and got the newest kontakt version (5.4.1) and two libraries keep disappearing from kontakt. Those are Ethno World Instruments and Ethno World Voices. On my old computer they worked just fine.

I already tried deleting the .xml file under application support/Native Instruments/Service Center but that didn't help.

One thing I could think of is that it has something to do with Quantum Leap RA, because that library needs Ethno World 5 to work and I didn't have Quantum Leap RA on my old computer. So I tried removing Quantum Leap from the list and as .xml but this didn't work either.

Does anyone have a clue how I could fix this?

    Thanks

Maybe try K5 DbCache Import Data. Worked for me in the past. Check the thread already listed for All problems with Kontakt. Lot's of good answers.

    Good luck *yes*

if you get a .tmp file in the desktop, when you add the library, then remove it,add again and rename the created .tmp file as the name of the library and.xml at the end.drop that file to c:prog file\common files\native instruments\service senter works for me every time...*run kontakt as admin

@user 137. What do you mean exactly? Could you explain how this works?

This is a solution for PC as you are on Mac it will probably be different.

How do I keep my library permanently in the library tab i add it to Kontakt everything works great until I reload Kontakt?

This happens with official Kontakt Libraries the CurInstrDir is not configured correctly and it cache a old location also you need to delete these K5DbCacheImportData & K5DbCacheImportSize, registry Keys

But to make life easy just delete the whole library key
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments\Library Name
right-click the library name and press delete
Start Kontakt and the library will be there.

As for Mac the solution will be different. As there is no registry to edit then the typical workaround for PC would not work. However there will be a solution to the problem. Someone well versed in Kontakt infrastructure on MAC may be better able to help in this situation.

However I stronly suggest u go to the Kontakt section & check out the Two Pinned links at the top for all problems with Kontakt/Mac & all KontaKt problems with windows at the top. Lot's of good ideas & solutions to problems. Sounds to me like some sort of file issue that needs to be deleted from a previous installation & then after cleaning up Then re-add the whole library after updating to the newest software. A total re-install including all the relavent updates may also help but I am guessing.

But as I mentioned I am no expert in the Mac setup whatsoever. Good luck.
