Yes but on a marketing point of view, they should be interested in non "yet" customer's opinion.

 

you don't need to be u-he customer to complete the survey. After filling in the survey enter an email address to be able to receive a voucher code, (approx 2 weeks to receive)

Why would they? I see people getting paranoid about u-he, probably cause he's known to have a clever and tricky protection.
That's just cause he and his team know how to think outside the box to code a great protection system.
Urs is really not the kind of guy that will spend time and money on some kind of intelligence on about you. And with what purpose ?
Calm down peeps, U-he develops audio plug-ins, ain't no NSA, he won't spy on to you, keep calm and enjoy life.
(This is not directed to you mercurysoto, is just that I generally see people worrying too much about useless things, not seeing the things you have to worry about for real)

i was so happy about those 25$ off, it looked so fantastic (because impossible...), that i didn't even notice the "customers" part

 

the natural cycle of things:

new about their new plugin will be posted on a different website.
different website-->people install the beta-->people visit that website-->people keep using the beta--> V1.0 is finally released, with a pseudo crackable code, with easy-to-bypass copy protection-->R2R or another group releases a 100% working version, this time, they were even smarter, and were able to create a keygen for the app-->people who went to their website, with their IP, and downloaded the app, with their IP, and went to the special "news" website, still with their IP, uninstall the beta, and install the R2R/other group version--> when visiting these websites, some innocent cookies/png-jpg disguised files with embedded cookie were kindly set on the computer-->the new keygen working html manual reads and modifies the cookie, to "keygened version installed=on"-->a few websites here and there, like kvr, their special site, or a few random others, will read the cookie-->a few weeks later, the app engages its 4th,5th, etc copy-protection layer, and bombs, maybe the january 1st 2015, or valentine's day-->people start looking for some forums, like kvr, and a few random others ;-) to see if other people are having the same bomb--> those websites gather some cookies and IP--> uhe run their script, to see who among the beta users have gone legit, or waited for the famous keygened R2R/other version--> they have all the IP addresses of all beta users, and can't stop laughing, because they made the app so groups could think they finally bypassed all the protection layers, and were even able to create a keygen, but that was just a lure--> people uninstall the freshly bombed app, and return to their previous favorite app, that, after all, worked as good as the bombed one-->

MrCookie, you are about right with the cycle of things, save one thing. At some point down the road, one decides it's time to give back, save their earned cash and decides to buy the product, not because it's uncrackable Nexus 2 or something, but just because one truly wants to support the developer with little man's hard earned cash. I know this can be read cynically, but hey, it's not greedy Waves I'm talking about here. I have tons of respect for U-He and their business policies. Needless to say, the plugs are state of the art.
