backup Kontakt 5

    Hi guys,

    I got a new macbook and I want to transfer all my kontakt libreries to the new one. I have them on a different hard drive so no problem there.

    I installed the same version of Kontakt on my new mac.

    What should I copy? Just the .plist files in the library directory or there is something else?

    I think I found the solution. I post it here for future reference:

    - HD names must be the same.

    - Install the same Kontakt 5 version

    - copy all .plist files from Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences >

    - copy all. plist files from Macintosh HD > Users > *Your User Name* > Library > Preferences

    - copy all .xml files from Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Service Center

    - copy Macintosh HD > Users > *Your User Name* > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > kontakt 5 > quickload

    leave them on the other drive that way you'll never lose them, install Kontact 5.4.1 Latest repair permission and should be good to go :wink:
