    I have opened JDownloader.
I have added a download link to JDownloader Linkgrabber.
I have clicked (continue with selected links).
And then i have clicked the (Start downloads in list) button.
    And then i scrolled down.
And then JDownloader automatically swiched to (stop all running downloads)
And the download has not even started.
I press the (Start downloads in list) button again.
And JDownloader refuses to start downloading the link i added from Linkgrabber.
JDownloader automatically presses the stop button.

It should give you some kind of error message in the "Active Task" column ala File not found or disk is full etc. Maybe the file is only available for premium users. Many possibilities but the active task message usually gives a hint.

Maybe it's a bad plugin update. If that is the case, they get fixed quickly.

    Is this JD1 or JD2?

Which version of JDownloader are you using? What version of Java are you using? On a sidenote a JDownloader update recently got flagged as malware on my end. Never seen that happen before.

You should really consider installing the Beta of JD2. Not sure if something just got corrupted or if it's something to do with a newer update of Java but JD2 is vastly superior in every way. I would reinstall and since you're doing that, might as well install the newest version. I'm using it with Java 8 and it's even working nice now.

Today i tested to delete all files and folders in the (Download) Package/Filename list.
And then i clicked the (Start downloads in list) button.
And only now the download starts.

I had to delete all files and folders in the download list to make JDownloader work.
    :(.

I had a collection there of download links that i have not started because all my hard disks are full.

I also was having problems with JDownloader (on Mac OS 10.8; compatible Java version). If you can't iron-out this bug, there is also the FreeRapid download client, to which I have switched.

There is also the free Progressive Downloader for OS X. I've been using that for some time with no issues.

    http://www.macpsd.net/

Here is a web page that has alternatives for both Windows and OS X: http://alternativeto.net/software/progressive-downloader/?platform=mac

As soon as i read the the thread.. i knew that was the problem. I tend to keep my hard drive full too ):

You should stop jdownload to unzip files while downloading them.

Load up downloads -> sleep -> wake up -> unzip

I never have jDownloader extract for me, usually I am not even installing right at that moment so it's just annoying. In the future the fact that you're out of space is an important detail to include.

I would also recommend JD2 Beta as the way to go - and personally, I never allow it to extract a downloaded archive.

If there is an outstanding issue with JD2 Beta, just wait 10 minutes for the update. Didn't solve your problem? Wait another 5 minutes for the next update.
