Hey there. I´m looking for the siren in the song "Leave" from REM. Anyone an idea how do i do this. Is it possible with the VST Plugin TyrellN6? Can anyone tell me the settings there? I don´t have any plan

Saw wave. Sine LFO on pitch. Add some noise oscillator. Distort.
edit: run it through an amp sim for more cabinet/speaker effect.

 

its not supposed to be a siren! its a DJ Record Scratch track

if you can not find the scratch track or do not want to design your siren patch with any software instrument, there is one small (vst) plug-in, called dub siren (more than capable for doing the sound you are searching for), made by the interruptor (one swiss developer, musician, dub plate spinner, called daniel)...

all the best for all of us, plus the best sounding sirens of this world for your track...

later edit, post scriptum, nearly forgot to mention, the plug-in is freely downloadable, of course one can donate or leave one thank you message in the guest book (am in no way affiliated, just love the things daniel is capable to do)... *yes*
