    so this isn't Zebra3??

can't wait for Zebra3 though... then the upgrade from Zebra2 will be only 30$... AND... you get the Dark Zebra (PLUS, the essential ZebraHZ) for FREE!... *yes*

Listening to the demo music I hope this isn't another EDM-ready synth, full of presets that sound the same.

I know you can tweak presets by your own, but that kind of sounds discourage me to tweak anything and I pass on.

Like Spire for example. Played with it a bit... and after a while... it was history in my disk. A question of taste.

Now, the Spire lovers.. shoot me :bleh:

zeusgodbcn you speaking my mind! Wouldn`t dare to put that out.
... it`s a great synth, but a "often dated lady" meanwhile like Massive or Sylenth.
I used it for "Virus style" basslines in a couple of projects. Now it`s catching dust ...
Let`s be diplomatique, a question of taste for shure. :bleh:

Ayah almost the same. I always play few notes on some random factory presets in spire, I get sad and close it to open some other synth. And I like it a lot, but sometimes I need a quick i.e. bass preset to start tweaking,
I find nothing and pass the hand lol. It sound great though. Also Serum is EDM oriented, but I don't see it that way like Spire.
No it's not gonna be something like LUSH. Let's see. Btw before this synth they will release Presswerk compressor ;)

    Let's hope it doesn't eat PC's for breakfast like the D16 LuSH-101

When Urs first announced it last year he said it was going to be way less resources requiring
compared to his other synths while trying to keep the quality high ;)
I'm on mobile so I can't link that thread :)

Speaking about over used EDM sounds (massive, sylenth, spire..) ?
Those lush-101, arturia, XILS... old school sounds are more than over used : they are dead and in decomposition since the 90's

If you want modern and less over used sounds, Z3ta 2, Serum and more are a better solution than looking in the past searching for something already gone for long.
That's why i erased all my Arturia, XILS...even ImpOSCar 2 (killer bass) after thinking it was going to inspire me creating new things.Not.
If i want to listen to old school good synthesis, i can listen to my countless progressive rock albums (King Crimson, Yes, Camel...) :mates:

I never liked ANA,Diversion, Zebra, Massive...i don't know why, but it is a question of taste.Don't like their "signature", even if they can do a lot of things. I like Serum, Spire, Z3ta 2, some "special" Sylenth banks, Komplexer,ACE...and more :bleh:

Synths can do a lot more than what they are supposed to fill as "market" See the TB303.
Listen to over-cloned Vanguard expansions (like Nexus)...and listen to Bigtone Signature

So back to the subject, U-He is probably making his own "EDM" synth. But to me, "EDM synth" concept is pure bullsh*t. I use "EDM synths" to make indus/metal/goth tracks...and it is not Avici

It is not because Vengeance and such spend their time making every synth sounding the same that a synth is "EDM".
If you go that way, every synth can be "trap/Farfisa" if you use SSO banks

Just don't use presets or use CLEVER presets. There are ppl with talent making "out of EDM/Dubstep/whatever" soundbanks.
And on the positive side, there are so few of them compared to others you will spend LESS time finding a preset than crawling a 1 million presets Sylenth presets clones :mates:

PS : sorry about the long post

On the contrary, Urs once pointed out that he is sick of people accusing all U-he synths as CPU hogs, so he wants to proove that he can program a Sylenth killer with less CPU use than Sylenth - look at KVR, he is comparing his synth to "the other synth", and I'm damn sure that he meant the big S.
