    Graphic EQ and a compressor/limiter.

The comp depends on what kinda track Im doing, if its electro track ill try and use a transparent compressor and a limiter on top of that.

If its not an electro track ill use a compressor that has its own colour, usually PSP Vintage Warmer or an "old school" compressor.

    Thats it usually.

Sometimes I have effects on the master that are automated for effect (filter or bit-crusher) during different sections.

    How bout you?

Basically compressor/limiter and an eq for little corrections. I tend to use the same ones but lately been trying others just to see how they sound

    compressor --> EQ --> limiter

There are so many good plugins, I'll just name one of each:

    Compressor: Stilwell Bombardier
EQ: DMGaudio Equality (or Equick for M/S)
    Limiter: Fabfilter Pro-L

SSL buss compressor with low ratios and only a couple Db of gain reduction. Use for most tracking and most mixing. Mastering is another thing entirely.

you can add anything you want, as long it keeps the integrity of your mix, i would suggest the sausage fattener and experiment with other harmonic distortion vst's!!!

Yeah -- I knew they had a Mac version, just don't have the cash at the moment to 'test it out'
(I wish they had iLok free -- time limited demos available)

    Here's the breakdown:

Intel Mac 32bit: RTAS, AU, VST
    Intel Mac 64bit: AU, VST
    Windows 32bit: RTAS, VST
    Windows 64bit: VST
    *iLOK2 Dongle Required

So far that's all I've tried in "my less than a year of beat mashing" but one thing seems to be clear there are tons of warnings about non professional final mastering attempts.
    Very useful threads. :grooves:
