I have installed STEAM to my external hard drive (windows installation) but if i wanted to install it on my mac would i have to install it separately all over again? the mac installation didnt give me a seperate option in the installation to only install the dll's

 

Nope, you only install the mac Clien or VST or whatever, then the first time you open Omnisphere, it will ask for STEAM Folder you plug in your external hard drive, and you navigate and select the Folder, you may need an NTFS system installed into your mac so you wont have any problem, not sure about this, but if it happens, try installing this :

I use Logic Pro X, so if you're planning the to use the same DAW, all you have to do is use a "corresponding" Omnisphere.component file. Copy it to \MAC\Library\Audio\Plugins\Components folder. I said corresponding since the library version and the patch library version may differ in your STEAM\Omnisphere library files. Just try any Omnisphere.component file and see if you run into any library mismatch problems first. If you don't then basically run Logic and when you load Omnisphere run the keygen (since there are no keygen for OSX, you can use "KeyGen Runner" app (free) to run the keygen.exe.)
