I am new here and this is my first topic.
I have a problem - some libraries that I add in Kontakt 5 (vers. 5.3.137) disappear after I reopen Kontakt.
I use PC, Windows 7 - 64bit.
Please,help me!

Which libraries are giving you trouble?

I have been going through a bunch of threads here on this topic, and tried every suggestion I've found--up to and including uninstalling kontakt and all the files it puts in preferences and application support in both the hard drive and user libraries (on OS X here). I must be leaving something out, though, because I have a persistent case of the disappearing libraries problem.

Kontakt 5.3.1 ( from the installer: Native Instruments - Kontakt 5 v5.3.1 Rev.2 UNLOCKED - OS X - R2R [packet-dada] ) -- and I've tried two other, different 5.3.1 crack installers

Libraries don't stick on kontakt relaunch. I've tried trashing the .xml files in /Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center and re-adding, trashing the .plist files of the libraries and re-adding, doing both and re-adding, re-installing kontakt and then doing all that again, removing and re-adding the library from the drop down menu in kontakt... I did that resetting of the home folder permissions from the terminal in the reset password startup mode...

One library does stick, though. Orchestral Essentials stays. It has a .nicnt. The ones that aren't sticking don't, I'm noticing. I just confirmed two other .nicnt libraries also do stick on relaunch.

I re-read "Kontakt Cracked Vs Legitmate Explanation" and I guess I'm not clear on the different types of library files. Or maybe the libraries that aren't sticking for me are simply missing their .nicnt files?

Going nuts trying to figure this out...

Another semi-related question: since unlocked kontakt can re-save instruments and their samples from monoliths as regular audio files (compressed or not) could you batch re-save a whole library including the samples and make the instruments and multis usable in legit kontakt--not as a library, but the instruments and multis through the file browser?

 

Im having the same problem in East west "Colossus library" mate.
im using kontakt 5.3.1. does any one have a possible solution on this..

 

I've seen a few people having issues with 5.3 or 5.3.1. I've just gone from 5.2 to 5.4.1 with very minor library issues.

so should i switch to 5.4.1? will it support costume ".nicnt" files?

 

It seems it a registry issue, old libraries used that method before Kontakt 5 & .Nicnt was born
