I wasn't sure if you would like Damage because it's for heavier music but I fucking love it. Check out Aeon too.

This is such an excellent thread, because of the subject, members are really focusing on the keepers and dishing the would likes and not so bads.

Just from the above Catalyst, taking your experience etc, I've gone for a load of VR2 stuff, and despite being basically new to so many aspects here and happy with EZDrummer (my Superior failed to install for some reason), along with other 'experienced' members in this thread, I've gone for BD3.

I'm a Kontakt 5 baby, having never delved into all this before quite so deep and without you guys adding your 2 pennies worth, I'd be filling up 10gigs of hard drives etc lol.

I do have one conclusion to add, from such discussions: In our (as in musicians/producers/whatever) drive to sound as close to 100% authentic, I think we can lose sight of our customers perception, the listener/buyer. They have been sold and have become so accustomed to let's say in general EDM type music, they don't actually know or care whether the instrument used was real or not!! If it gets them dancing, they're happy. That's not to say that within our job we should spout out any old crap, but a case on reflecting that the goal of sounding authentic is down to our wanting acceptance from our peers!

    Thanks one and all :)
