Here's a tease of something that will be out within the next couple of weeks: Vectorspace. It's a sample transformer with gesturally controlled sample position / length, gesturally recordable effects that can run in free-length or quantized mode, a quasi-physically-modeled resonator, and a unique arpeggiator with probability per step and a hold control.

In the picture above, all the gestural effects controls are running in quantized ("steppy") mode except for the resonator which is in free-run mode. Here's a close-up view of the resonator's settings, available by clicking on the "view" button above its XY control:

The design process for this instrument has been very bottom up and I'm still discovering new sounds it can make and ways to use it. More soon!

It`s good to know that "REAKTOR Lovers" are around...

I`m not a musician/producer/engineer/wannabe, thats`s why ssb.
Working with audio reaches something in me, like nothing else does. It keeps me in touch/balanced/grounded or however you want to name it. It`s a bit late for putting music production in the center of my life but as an amateur, I`m seriously commited.
Every spare moment I got is for learning & practice with my so called setup. Sound synthesis and music theory is on the menu, it`s a very uplifting expierence to get a mix done and understand why exactly it works. If I get stuck in any way, I come here, to the best forum there is, being as respectful as possible, starting by my nick name.
I would like to say some more and reply to other topics, too, but I got to go right now.

You hit the nail on the head sideshowbob and I really relate to your experience with music. To me there is nothing better than a life filled with excellent music and nothing more rewarding than creating it yourself. I'm also very committed and work hard at it even with the time constraints one has when maintaining popular forums and working a job. If I don't have time I make it.
