Hi Guys! I am new here, and will first say this is an amazing community and site! Thanks for everyone's contributions!

Problem: I am not able to load any of my installed Native Instruments products in Pro Tools 11.

    Following are the details:

    1. Computer: Windows 8.1, x64based processor

    2. Pro Tools 11.2 ( not cracked, fully purchased using with iLok )

    3. Kontakt 5 v5.3.0 ( cracked )

    Native Instruments Kontakt 5 v5.3.0 UNLOCKED-Tracer

    4. Kontakt 5 v5.3.1 Update installed (craked)

Native Instruments Kontakt 5 v5.3.1 UNLOCKED Update WiN/MAC-R2R

    5. I copied AAX file from source disk ( 5.3.1 R2R update ) and ensured it was placed in the correct folder location ( i think) --- Program Files/Common Files/Avid/Audio/Plugins/Kontakt.aaxplugin

When I launch Pro Tools 11 , I get a dialog box that states the Kontakt .aax plugin is an invalid 64 bit .aax file and PT asks me if i want to move the file to the unused plug-ins folder. I have tried countless different times un installing and re installing and manually checking the plug in folder.

Am I missing a step? I apologize if this topic had been brought up before, I am unclear weather I can used the cracked kontakt 5 with pro tools 11. I have read the comments posted and looked through the forum and web for a resolution t no avail. I thought maybe I could by the Kontakt 5 Update just so I could access the x64 kotakt.aax plugin and manually place it in the the plug in folder. Will that work? Or is there an easier way?

I have the same problems with Massive, Battery, Absynth ... I have not tried any others but so far no NI products will load in PT 11

Any help or guidance you can offer, will be just awesome!

Glad to be part of an amazing community!! Thanks!

I'm not real sure on this because I don't have any experience with AAX.But in PT 10 I either installed the rtas or used VST to Rtas adapter and used jbridge on a couple plugins before using vst to rtas adapter. That was on windows. But on Mac I used the rtas plugins, and used blue cats patchwork to load pretty much any VST,I've played with jbridge for mac and 32 Lives as well, both work well for most synths I tried and 32/64 conversion. Not that the mac stuff is relevant.

Don't know if that helps or not,I have no experience at all with PT11.But may be a workable solution possibly :dunno:

    Good luck!

    And welcome to Audiosex!

You can't use Kontakt 5 in AAX format inside Pro Tools 11.

Delete AAX kontakt 5 from your folder.

You have to run Blue Cat Audio Patchwork to run Kontakt 5 inside Pro Tools 11.

It's a wrapper that convert any VST or AU 64 Bit in AAX format.

Ahhhhhh ! Thank you so much! I DL Blue cat's lasr night and I am trying (to no avail) to manually place the files, but not certain I am doing it right since I am not getting it to show up in Pro Tools. I manually placed the 64x VST's in the folowing:

Program Files/VST's and in Program Files / Common files/Avid/Audio Plugins

--- but I still don't see anything appear in Pro Tools 11. I am not sure where or how the BC Synth Patchwork VST data and the BC Patchwork VST data should be placed. I have tried to manually place them in the Program Files file structure to no avail.

If this has been asked and answered before, my apologies. If someone can point me in the right direction, that would be great!

    Thanks!!

Update: I bit the bullet and purchased Blue Cat Audio Patchwork -- ( understanding you can not crack AAX in Pro Tools 11! ) Everything works as advertised! I can now load all of my x64VST plugins in Pro Tools 11 without any problems. I hope this thread helps in the future if anyone runs into the same problem.

Thanks for education me pointing my in the right direction! You guys are Awesome!!
