    Hi all,

I’m new here and I’m new in my passion of producing music, so I’m dealing now with the quirks of getting everything to work together.

I’ve a cracked version of Kontakt 8 from Bob Dule, with a simple.exe pach.

I downloaded versions of both NOIR and Art vista piano VSTs to install and use with Kontakt, however none works. The “Kontent missing” dialog appears whenever I try to add the library manually using the import library option. I’ve tried everything I could think of, pasting the .nicnt file from the downloaded library to the service center folder in common files, uninstalling everything, cleaning potentialy problematic folders, opening the .nki instrument files directly from kontakt via file menu, but nothing really works.

I hope your vast experience on these topics will be helpful and available.

Thank you all in advance ,

    Sten

    Hallå Sten,

Yes. One simple alternative fix would be to use vkDanilov's portable version. Extremely straightforward, and never posed any problems for me, but then again, I only have 140 Kontakt libraries installed so far.

Hi, Bobdule version has a: "....button.exe" file to add libraries. I don't know the exact name and location. I will look it up when I'm at home. And will post here.

I second what Reverend Alden said: use the portable version instead.

Very much appreciated Crissz! The kontakt I downloaded came with the setup, the pach file and a "how to instal" tutoreal, which isn't that much of help, because what it states is rather obvious.
I'm very thankful for all you can provide me with in terms of instructions... i'm sure it'll be useful.

Many thanks! I got a hold of the 8.9 Kontakt portable version, pretty happy about it! Now I'm restling now a bit with the Library manager. My libraries are just files and folders on my SSD. They're not installed hence no registry entry exists for any of them. How should I proceed? I know these might be a nuisance to experienced people like yourself heheh, but to me it's still the beginning. So any suggestions will help a lot.

After you install BobDule's version, you have go to the installed folder inside Native Instruments folder in Program Files. Inside Kontakt 8 folder, there's a kontakt_button.exe file that you click and Add Library dialogue box should pop up. Then it asks where the libraries are located. Point to the folder holding your libraries and add. Not sure if you had his version you missed that. I usually keeps that kontakt_button.exe on my desktop for future easy access, keeping it pretty simple.
