I tried this, Prism and several others recently coming out, and of course stock daw translation. All of them consistently miss the mark. Musculptor is always the wrong BPM and notes are all over the place in lengths and timing. Some of these programs get the general notes correct for a few bars, but then completely go off the rails a few bars later. Stock daw is as good or better than these. All of them require manual edits, note key replacements, stretching, velocities etc. Its pointless to use it for midi, only to have to redo and replace everything in the midi file

We're still not there. Eyes and ears still do better and much faster for me.

The easiest way, without worrying about what you need, is with Pinokio. It will take care of installing everything necessary. Just download the executable file for your operating system, choose the folder where you want everything to be, find the Muscriptor app, and you're done. When you open Muscriptor, it will start with the medium model. If you want the long model, you'll have an option in the menu to download it automatically.

 

I tried with piano and it was really impressive.
Let's say it got 90-95% correct timing and also sustain pedal didn't mask notes except in few passages.
