This subforum seems to be one of the most active and useful discussion hubs for the growing field of the development of AI-guided (or wholly AI-generated) music software: plugins, DAWs, tools.

What are some other communities like this? Forums, Twitter communities, subreddits, Discord servers, etc. Would be interesting to know about other places, if any exist.

And I don't just mean some forum where people talk about how they use Suno to generate slop country-EDM songs or whatever. That is obviously uninteresting and silly even to someone who is pro-AI.

yea I'm pretty sure there are dedicated Discord servers and Reddit subforums for AI slop tools,

for professional use, AI is often matter of copyrights (lack of) so you won't see AI that spread beyond casual speech-to-text, text recognition in videos and other utility tasks like various machine-learning cleanup stuff like accentize dxrevive and some izotope plugins,

AI can be a tool just like autotune, drum align grid, vocal sync etc... don't really stress about AI-driven music production, rather ask about specific tools/workflows

 

Twitter, simply because a lot of developers, researchers, journalists etc are very active on there. However, the platform itself is fucking awful and full of slop and some of the worst people on the earth. If you use the list function to curate lists of relevant people to follow it can be extremely useful, but I wouldn't engage with the app outside of finding info on specific interests. If you're easily offended or vulnerable to being radicalised to your specific biases I'd give it a miss entirely.
