I'm using Fender Studio Pro v8.1 Absynth 6.1 from the sister site, both versions the Vst3 & the AU versions shut down the DAW when opening it up.
MacBook M1 2021 Mac OS Tahoe 26.5. (21624.2.5.11.4)
I even tried these code strings

"sudo chmod -R 777
sudo xattr -cr
sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine
sudo codesign --force --sign -
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign -
sudo xattr -r -d"

And it still shuts down.

Someone please tell me what I need to do in order to get it working.

I'm not sure I understand entirely: your Studio Pro crashes when you load either a VST3 or AU plugin on your M1 Tahoe Mac? Is that it? Any plug-in?

My question being: are you complaining about plugins or about Studio Pro?

If the concern is plugins, you can use a standalone AU or VST3 host (Hosting AU is one of several) and test loading your plugins. If they do load perfectly, the issue is with Studio Pro, not your plugins.

If you're concerned about Studio Pro 8.1 (I'm guessing from the sister site), have you looked into using Privileges.app, Permissions Reset.app, CodeSigner.app, BatChmod.app, and Sentinel.app?

Right, I understand now.

So the good news is that you can go into your Applications/NI folder and run the standalone Absynth app.

That should tell you if the issue is with your Fender DAW or the Absynth/Mac authorization.

If the Absynth App runs ok, I would try launching the plugin in a standalone Host as mentioned above.

It the Absynth App does not launch at all, you would need to do your due diligence and look into what the Privileges.app, Permissions Reset.app, CodeSigner.app, BatChmod.app, and Sentinel.app can do for you (if in doubt about any, start with Sentinel: it's drag&drop).

 

The desktop app runs just fine, it's the plugin I'm having the problem with.

 

Seems to be your issue doesn't lie with MacOS authorization but with Fender. Have you followed through with this?

I opened Scaler 3's stand alone app, rescan'd for all new plugins And Absynth 6.1.0 IS showing in the list and it's working within Scaler 3's Standalone Application and also the Absynth 6 standalone application works also.
However Absynth 6.1.0 completely shuts down Fender Studio Pro 8.1 when attempting to open the Vst3 plugin within the DAW and within the Scaler 3 Vst3 plugin while opened within the DAW.

While I can't be 100% certain, it follows your issue is with Fender, not Apple. I would contact their support, or short of that, scour their forums/support pages for similar issues - you can't be the only one if this is an incompatibility issue.

 

HCiSO 6.1.0...
Works perfect with no terminal commands for xattr, codesigning, etc. in Cubase Pro 15 and Logic Pro 12 on Tahoe.

Block native-instruments.com and configuration.native-instruments.com in Little Snitch or hosts file.

 

First off I'd like to say thanx to Balisani & to you as well clone for your assistance.
However I already have native-instruments.com blocked on my MacBook however Little Snitch is not finding a network connection to. So Absynth 6.1.0 continues to shut dow Fender Studio Pro 8.1

Clone is a lot more technical than I am, but I used to hire for and lead a pro audio software/hardware tech support department in NYC, and I've flown all over the world to put out fires, so I might have some good reflexes left over - even though I've become allergic to doing tech support (for my parents, in-laws, and friends these days).

Drawing on said past life's experience, I would uninstall and reinstall Studio Pro, and hopefully that will force Studio Pro to re-scan all plugins and VIs (I've had a similar issue once with Roland Cloud and Logic - following reinstall, they have worked fine since).

If that doesn't work, I would uninstall Absynth as well - reinstall the lot: Studio Pro first, Absynth second.

And since you mention Little Snitch, why not also delete or suspend the corresponding rule (keeping Alert mode on)?
(Go to Little Snitch Rules...; Click the red Denied in the left Rules column; uncheck the blue tick corresponding to Native Instruments or Absynth - I wish I could tell you exactly which rule, but I have a legit Komplete Ultimate, and all I see in my Little Snitch Applications rules column is Native Access.)

 

Well as I have recently reinstalled Studio Pro as of version 8.1 first I'll rescan all plugins. If that doesn't work then I''ll reinstall Studio Pro and Absynth 6 as well. But I'll give it a try.

Well I reinstalled Studio Pro 8.1 and Absynth 6.1.0 still shuts it down. However the Stand Alone app continues to work just fine.

 

Sadly, I've no experience with this DAW, so I'm not able to assist you beyond the few common sense troubleshooting tips I shared previously. However, given that the standalone app works fine, if I had the same issue with Logic, I'd roll back to 8.0 or 7.2.3 even, to see if it was only that version that exhibited the issue in question.

I believe you needn't even "roll back" per se - you can have both installed side by side. Just be certain of which you're launching.
