I updated EZBass to 1.3.4 from VR release on sister site to be able to load new Rock Legends pack. The update seemed OK but though I could see pack in the sounds, the corresponding grooves were still not visible so I decided to click on Setting/Advanced/Restore MIDI Database ... and then I lost all of them: no more Grooves in the tab.
I'm on WIN11 and tried deleteling %APPDATA%\Toontrack\EZbass folder, I also made a copy of the Midi to force the files having a earlier date of modification, but nothing helped

If someone knows what to do, please let me know

 

open EZ Bass goto setting then open libraries/Paths tab see where it says where your sounds are suppose to be. on the far right of that box there are 3 horizontal lines (they are small) click on that and then click on "Show in Explorer" it should take you to EZ Bass folder if its not there you need to find it and either change the path of move your ezbass folder to where EZBass thinks its suppose to be.

ALSO in that EZbass folder should be a folder called MIDI that is where your grooves should be installed

Meanwhile, I tried this:

- rename my Midi folder (to ensure EZbass will not be able to see it)
- reinstall EZbass from VR version 1.0.0
- recreate a brand new Midi folder with what comes from reinstallation (000500@_EZbass_Libraries + 000500@EZbass)
- update EZBass to version 1.3.4
- relocate EzBass path
At this point EZBass shows the factory libraries again
- copy EBX sub folders from old to new MIDI folder
EZBass see them all again, including the new Rock Legend one
- copy all other sub folders from old to new MIDI folder (also used by EZKeys 2 and EZDrummer 3)
EZBass doesn't detect anything more (no EZX pack for instance) but I don't remember if it should

On EZDrummer 3, I can see EZBass packs with an exclamation mark. Don't know if it's normal or not either

 

Odd ez drumer sees them though. where is tour ezdrummer midi files located and where is your EZBass midi foldr located?

 

They are all located in the same "Midi" folder, inside a global "Toontrack" folder where all my sound packs also lies. Should I separate them? If so, how should I know which one is for which, looking at the grooves inside each app?

 

It was a lot easier than I thought since I "only" messed up with EZBass structure: EZKeys files were already in a separation folder (I didn't even noticed it) and most of my other files were for EZDrummer. The only files I ended up moving were EZBass ones first, which fixedthe situation, then I also moved the remaining ones into an new EZdrummer folder to make it consistent. Now everything is perfectly separated and working well.
