Seriously, the STRENGTH knob just sits there, unopposed, being STRONG. You needed more punch in your patch. Instead of adding a 5th sine wave, you randomly stumbled across STRENGTH.

STRENGTH is one of these knobs that ONLY appear whenever it wants to, even I can't find it consistently, I think it's the amplitude tab of the oscillator section in the voice tab in the ADDsynth section. I seriously can't remember anymore! You don't find STRENGTH, STRENGTH finds you.

But the STRENGTH knob adds STRENGTH to your sound, it makes the attack more clicky, punchier and stronger. You wanted STRENGTH for your sound, so you turn up the STRENGTH knob. Adding more oscillators is for COWARDS.

The STRENGTH knob is probably some super secret attack transient shaper modifier and no one knows about it, it just gives your sound STRENGTH.

It's not some basic normal naming like "Punch". It's not even the classic Zyn naming like "Str." or, god forbid, "S." (with a dot this time). It's not even "Strength". You see, those kinds of names do NOT have FEELING. STRENGTH has conviction. It's uncontested, undefeated.

    ...

    Does your synth have STRENGTH?

How to move a knob with ears? I'm trying but my head is too big and my nose is bleeding on the desk.

My assumption is it's "Amplitude" or "Loudness" of the Oscillator.
Zyn has a bit unconventionally named controls, indeed. I often find myself reaching for its manual, too.

Thank you for the morning laughs, chaps!

I don't know much about synths but you always made my day with your rants about weird things in them

The "S" filter one was even better, man. I recommend everyone to read that one:
