Installed Linplug RMV, noticed it adds 3 plugins instead of one when I clicked specifically to install just the 64 bit version, what is the difference between “RMV 64.dll”, “RMV 8-20 64.dll” and “RMV 32-0 64.dll”? Is there multiple versions with multiple outputs installed? Opening all three doesn’t look any different on first glance as I haven’t dug around yet playing the presets and checking its tabs on the interface. Is there any reason to keep these extra versions or which ones can I remove while keeping one of the RMV plugins?

    PLATFORM : WiN32 - VST, WiN64 - VST <- from nfo.

The 32bit dll should be no problem to delete. The 2 others are the 64bit dll, compare the filesizes. The 8-20 one sounds like that was the date that copy was issued. (not sure about it) Move them out of the correct folder to somewhere like your desktop, you can always just put it back that way.

These plugins are tiny anyway. A wasted 20 mb isn't going to be a dealbreaker...

I like this old user review of this plugin:
"Too complex and unintuitive for what it is. Worse, the manual is all over the place without explaining up front some glaring necessities, ie. how to assertain that both libraries have been recognised, library path recognitions, the architecture of using the existing libraries, how to easily play a pattern, where the f*ck are the loops etc. Worse, in the preferences page where one is supposed to fathom the paths at the bottom, one cannot see the whole path, etc. The idea might be good but not explaining it taking into account to what the new user is faced with, makes it useless."

From the description of the plugin in the nfo, I would consider looking into Arturia Spark or Fxpansion Geist, if you are still looking for old plugins.

that is the numbers of output channels, and doing it like that has various benefits compared to building a VST with a dynamic number of outputs.

reaktor did the same for the first 15 years (but maybe because it was not possible to make it dynamic :) )
