Streaky is annoying and says dumb shit. But that's just my 4 cents. Look into Nicholas Di Lorenzo over at Panorama Mixing & Mastering instead (who deserves similar number of subcribers as Streaky).

I've been a critic of AP Mastering but lately he's been posting some good stuff. Hard to say he's wrong about this one.

You know played the piano when he was 2 years old and played the violin when he was 4 years old. First synthesizer when he was 6.

 

His anti-analogy about Streaky's "people who drive the car fast" is ridiculous. If you have to find some tiny edge case of some relatively minor motorsport to say he was wrong, that is a tell unto itself. Maybe that guy does know his stuff, but most racers and so on, pick up shop talk. They know the difference between an ignition module and a transmission, as do most normal people. But to say anyone in some kind of racing won 50+ races due to an engineering change, or other small mechanical change is silly. Any component that different would get flagged during Inspection; and also, a guy riding a dirt bike is not going to be directing such changes to a team of mechanical engineers at a company like Yamaha. That whole tangent is Fantasyland. He should have kept that theory to himself. Even if it was correct, it doesn't prove anything. And there, i stopped watching.
