    Hi,my friends
Broaden your knowledge with their wide-ranging catalog of courses, from music to computer science and many more.
If by any reason you are not able to go to university or you want to broaden your knowledge with something new, enroll.
I have taken 2 of their courses and I can tell you that many things have cleared in my mind.
Some of you will answer (as before in another topic for coursera)that is better to learn it by yourself.
Well, these exact words told a friend of mine, around 25 years ago,who wanted to discover Jazz music by himself.
He still plays only pentatonic scale,if some of you know what I mean.

This is the link : https://www.coursera.org/

    and HAVE A NICE TIME.

I've done 11 courses there and please don't see me as trying to be a dick, but saying "world's best" is bullshit.

For example, you aren't given feedback by 'professionals', but instead ALL of the courses are marked, as well as feedback is given, by students. Most of the courses contain educational errors which are never fixed. The courses are automated so the just restart and give weekly content by themselves. What's disheartening is that on some of the courses the lecturer puts out a weekly personal message but its just part of the automation (Berklee was the big culprit here and got caughht out).

They are great to compliment additional studies but spend some money and pay for courses through PointBlank, Dubspot etc. There you will get correspondence and guidance from a professional.

I have to add that we are very fortunate we have the internet of today. If you can discipline yourself, you can teach yourself anything through books and youtube videos. Orchestral music is also readily available so you can examine and follow any piece your heart desires.

Also, a tip. You can join a course at the end, grab all the videos and then unenroll if you care about having a profile there that looks good.

And take up the piano even if you aren't planning on being good. You will cover pieces that will inspire you. Additionally, the theory exams will open the doors to studying at a proper university for something such as a BMus.

The first thing that you must do is learn how to learn  Luckily I spent many years in university so I don't need feedback or supervision. I am quite capable of undertaking independent research on my own, but I do appreciate that not everybody is in that situation, and these type of courses may not be good for everybody.

Good post. Education is very undervalued in this day and age.

Don't forget about Khan Academy: Khan Academy.

I've known some great jazzmen who learned by themselves, but it's true that it's not easy.
You surely learn faster with courses.

    @Dalmation

There are some really great Udemy courses actually. You just need to go through the course descriptions carefully and do some research about the author to find out if theyre credible or not. Also, read the reviews and ratings. I personally have 2 of my own courses on Udemy and have paid for quite a few on there which were excellent.
