    I use Mullvad VPN.
You can buy it with cash, or on Amazon (scratch card). The card contains an activation code and you don't have to bind it with any account, login or provide any data. Proven no log policy.

But still, there will be those on this forum who will tell you that privacy on the Internet and it's a scam.

I ran into similar issues last year, especially with speed drops and random disconnects. What worked way better for me was opting to buy residential proxies instead. It gave me more stable access, fewer CAPTCHAs, and better streaming quality without getting flagged all the time. Feels more like regular browsing, which was a big plus for my setup.

NordVPN is the best overall pick for most people. Strong speeds, reliable streaming unblocking, verified no logs policy, and good value.

ExpressVPN is slightly pricier but consistently fast and easy to use. Surfshark is worth it if you need unlimited simultaneous device connections.

Key things to look for are a verified no logs policy, and that it has been ideally third party audited, server locations that match what you need, device compatibility, and speed. Avoid very cheap unknown providers as privacy and reliability are usually compromised.

I need a lot of solidity on geospoofing, and I've found historically that ExpressVPN has been best for me at that (and I'm sure the cookie crumbles different ways at different times with different ownership etc).. SurfShark is "ok" for that, but doesn't do well at defeating the more ardent sites.

But I have gotten best use out of those 2 for now than any others.

I've used Astrill VPN for the past 18 years. Why? Although I've used ALL the ones mentioned and more.
It's 99.9% reliable, super fast if you need to DL large files, and to be honest, in my opinion there's nothing better.
I consider most (all) of the ones mentioned a waste of money and a frustration if you want reliability and safety.
The guy that mentioned that the best ones are used in China and India is 100% correct.
The downside of Astrill is that it's expensive.
Seriously, I could not use the internet at all where I am located without Astrill. Nothing else works!

BTW, to respond to the above - TOR cannot be used without a VPN where I am.
