New HARDWARE sampler based on Ensoniq ASR-10!!!

    The OAK-S is a new hardware sampler designed to preserve the ASR-10 workflow, running the original ASR-10 operating system along with its sound engine and effects processing.

    That‘s one for me.
    Nothing like timestretching a loop overnight on its 68k processor, only to find it has crashed with error 129 in the morning.
    One does not get loved for perfection. :hahaha:

    I still have today two of these ASR-10s. One keyboard version and the other the rack module. What can I say? ... have so many self made libraries since the 90s for it that seems to me difficult to let them go. It's sound (and specially, the FX) were and still are great. Would I buy a new like this one in the video?... Maybe... but not in the 2.000 US / Eur range.

    It took hours? Oh my...
    Did it sound that decent that it was worth the long rendering?
    I remember my Akai S2800 just taking some minutes, but the result did not sound 'good'.
    Interesting and useful, but one could not say it was a good algorithm.
    Did the ASR10 do it without that shattery sound?
