She's not really my sister-in-law. I used artistic license, my stab at humor to concoct the whole thing. For the artistic bit my sister-in-law is actually Polish but her name is Monika who's a CPA and lives in Sarasota, Florida. I've never known her to make Bigos (my wife's ex boss is Polish and promised to make me Bigos the next we are at his house, so that's the Bigos bit coming into play). My brother and Monika met when one of my brother's cats broke in through an open window of her house which was next door and killed her bird. Really!!

I found the photo online that satisfied my need.

I just had a play around with Fala - it sounds really cool! I love putting chorus on lots of different things, and am always looking for cool new variations on the effect.

I really like that you can get this to sound pretty broken (in a v good way!) and that there's a big range on the depth knob - like, you can get properly weird with it haha! It sounds lovely used more subtly too.

I can defo see me using this in some tracks, it's got a nice texture to it, that I think will complement other modulation effects nicely.

The only suggestion/request I maybe have is: so in general, it sounds a little dark - that's like totally not a bad thing at all, it sounds great. But I was wondering if you'd maybe consider adding a brighter flavour as an option?
Like, it doesn't have to be a whole eq knob, or 'air band' or anything like that (tbh I really like the simplicity of the interface) - I was thinking maybe more along the lines of like on Valhalla Shimmer, where you can switch it between a bright and a dark option?

But yeah, this is really cool, tysm for sharing!

FALA is a great sounding chorus, but the noise is continuous. Is there any way to add noise control?

 

LINA reminds me to Xilentch's mastering Eq but with more attitude, I would use it on buses during mixing.

SK Analog Drift Engine is really good. The musical's usages in the github code are good starting points.

All in all, I find your effects very refreshing. Congrats!

 

How did you make these?

The GUI looks very much like the plugins generated on that AI platform holo.audio with HoloFX. Not an accusation just interested.

 

I've played with Fala, and I like it. Having not a lot of controls is a nice thing sometimes, kind of like the Juno chrous where your options are "none/lot/a shitton/magic" and nothing else. One thing (because there's always just one thing) would be the option to control the stereo width (or just have a mono/stereo switch) but I can emulate that on mono sources using an utility plugin.

One great sound you can get out of this is to set głębia to "B", the speed (szybkość) to somewhere between 2/3 to max and fully wet. A fantastic rhythmic warble comes out that's somewhere between an emergency vehicle siren and a ghostly vowel sound.

A side note, my keyboard layout absolutely hates most diacritics, typing é is easy, but ś apparently doesn't exist.

 

No but I nulled it with Volcano 3. Krowka is a parallel all pass filter. Nothing too exotic, but a clever idea implemented in a wise way
