Ofcourse there's a difference. You can do it yourself and check it for yourself. And some tissue you can't massage yourself, either because it's too deep, or on the back...

The point that should count only, if it works and results in a permanent positive development.

We should cherish what works and I told you, that L&B works wonders for my mother. And if you read the comments on YT, it works for a lot of people, but you rejected it as inferior.
This is the same attitude the medical lobbies have. They denounce certain methods, despite verifyable results(!), or if they can't denounce it, they attack the person.
L&B has 2 million followers on YT. They even made TV spots attacking the person, that he was not a doctor, as if he was a charlatan miracle healer, and as if the people following his free videos, or the paid programs, would not be able to VERIFY if it helps them!
This man should receive the Nobel price, but instead he is ridiculed and attacked.

Some common sense: the theory behind all these methods, from deep tissue massage to stretching, is similar:
Body tissue, muscle fibers, have gone into a bad state, this bad state leads to a bad protective posture, the bad posture increases the problem.

This is broken up by confronting the tissue, or the bad posture, so the pain is confronted, the tissue becomes activated, tells the body, hey, ""I'm still here, do not forget me", and the body starts to activate his fluids to treat the problem.

Ridiculing the self-help(!), free of charge methods of L&B, everyone can try, because "it's different"?

Have you ever pressed 1-2 minutes on a point of pain, that needs this kind of treatment? Obviously not. 10 seconds of pain, so strong that it brings you to tears, feels like an eternity.
I did this myself, when I had acquired pain in a joint of the ring finger, after carrying a bucket full of water and grabbing it badly. I did not even want to try it, but my mother insisted to try this method. So I did reluctantly and I didn't expect anything. After this minute of pressure, the warmth, that was suddenly being felt in the finger, was absolutely unreal. And the pain was gone.

    "But he's not a doctor."
    FUCK 'EM!

I found a lot of relief by switching to meditation and focusing on mindful breathing
It helps reduce tension and stress, which might help with pain management

sorry for not a chair recc, but occasional use of an inversion table has solved many back/spinal issues for my family. This here is a desk to height calculator. once I was within range some of my issues faded. https://www.inchcalculator.com/desk-height-calculator/ Also a logi Ergo mouse helped a ton for hand/forearm issues.

Is there any chance a surgery would help?
Sure as a last resort, but given what you already do and take upon you to make the pain bareable I'd say you are in the last resort area.
    Would your ensurance cover?

If there's no genetic or medical condition causing it then The Alexander Technique will remedy it. Period. End of.

I would NEVER RECCOMEND SURGRY, as operations are more often than not botched and removing a vertebra to 'cure' back pain is asking for trouble.

The pain usually, probably stems from bad posture, just need to correct that, that is exactly what the Technique does, it will improve your quality of life too.

    I'm speaking empirically.

For now, sit with an upright posture, no, don't hold your self up, just don't slouch, and when sitting, bend from your waist/hips, not stomach or chest.

It's just a matter of reminding yourself as you slump again and correct it 'til it becomes your NEW HABIT, as old habits die hard.

It's doable but only you can do it, alone or with help, no need to suffer.

I'd suggest to stop looking for a magical chair and just get a couple of removable memory foam pillows for the back, this way the chair will be adjusting to your most comfortable posture, not the other way around. Helped me at least.

Assuming no injury/illness as the cause => 9 months of building core muscle strength is a game changer. It cannot be overstated how much strength training improves quality of life for those with pains (and everyone else too for that matter).

You would be better off doing Tai Chi—specifically without using force—as it is easier on the joints than strength training.

Sorry for your pain. I too am a sufferer. Nobody seems to have asked how much you weigh. If you are fat which sounds unlikely on your diet, but if you are, get down to something reasonable for your build and take the strain off your body even when sitting. If you are trim and taught, I can only say that i just get up a lot, make some tea, have a pee, listen to the mix away from the monitors etc and I take pain killers that actually work.....a lot don't.

I agree. Surgery, for this kind of problems, can be efficient. I read somewhere that Jean-Claude Van Damme got a new life from surgery.
