Hi,i am trying to setup control room for reference track as in this video. i have followed what he does but im not hearing any output on the reference track.
if i only play the reference track and press cue 1 the level meter is moving,just no sound.
if i play a track from my project i can hear the output of it regardless if i click mix or cue 1 on control room.
any clues?

HOW TO SET UP REFERENCE TRACK IN Cubase
==========================================
1: Go to "VST CONNECTIONS” under “DEVICES” in the top nav bar
2: Go to “OUTPUTS” in select “ADD BUS”
3: Change name of new “STEREO” TO “REFERENCE TRACK” (or whatever)
4: Go to “Project window” and create new “AUDIO TRACK”. Name it “REFERENCE TRACK” (or whatever)
5: Select track and go to “FILE > IMPORT > AUDIO FILE” to physically import track.
6: While reference track is selected go to “OUTPUT ROUTING” usually says “STEREO” and change it to (new) “REFERENCE TRACK”
7: you can now “MUTE” or “SOLO” to bounce back and forth from song you’re working on and the separate “Reference Track”

 

thanks. i am using saffire pro 24 am i correct in saying i wont be able to use above method?
i have set up reference track as a 2nd stereo out in connections but its going to Mon1 and Mon 2 ( same as the 1st output)

 

i got it sorted,just realised in outputs section of connections i needed it to be not connected
