Maybe the lack of interest was partly because the images weren’t visible (at least to me "in my region" the UK) unless i used a VPN.

Anyway as it's the '20th anniversary' i will have a go. Was a regular for the first few back in the day. Will post mine when done

i made a song i didn't like to it, then i made a better song with a chord progression that i like and was like," i'll sing on this!" but all my lyrics have been normal depressing stuff lately so i never got around to it. and thats why i haven't participated haha, yet! i'll try to finish something before the 30th.

 

wellllll shit i made a few crappy songs to this theme, they all turned out less like "mother earth" and more like "disney jungle ride" for some reason. was trying to sing on it, didn't work out i suck at singing. and the only lyrics that come out of me are depressing generally, so it's just a beat really. think i used omnisphere and serum 2 mostly. Tal Drum of course, and probably too many plugins on the mix bus, can't stop won't stop.

Usually, woman´s big belly or greasy hair is an excellent inspiration for electronic music, morning burps and stuff too. Sadly, i´m skipping this one too it seems, never was on board with the gaia concept..

In case you want to mess with the midi for the chords here they are,

the bass just follows the lowest chord note i think in 8ths, and the other sound besides drums is just a patch called Minor Scoop Diver off Omnisphere 3. in b minor, 88 bpm but feel free to do whatever you wish. I have PLENTY of half done songs haha.

 

If i haven´t slept like a tree trunk and messed up my shoulder, my arm feels like a dried branch.

So i just copied your track 2.5 times(ignoring the end tail btw) and went with something of which all could be a wasted time, but there´s midi take inhere that goes for a certain length, and starts before the kick hits. Maybe you can layer Omni 3 with better stuff than Surge. Early morning here so i accidentally distorted some of the SFX...

So hahaha at first i just loaded the files by themselves and was thinking, WTF is this. then i combined it with the original song 2.5 times like you said and it clicked lol. ive ruined Slyvia Plaths legacy by combining her words with a random acapella off the sister site. in the spirit of early morning even though it isn't here i just kinda threw things together tried to make it sound ok. and so the failed noncontest entry is saved!

It is 5:30 in the morning here, i just came down from a cherry tree just across the street in a garden, literally picked 3 kilos and i´m bout to get some sleep. Earth spins one more day!
Omni 3 sounds great, overall not to shabby for two morning guys haha. I´m really wondering is there a potential for a thread where things are "finished" in this manner, having more fun, unpacking bunch of unexpected stems and figuring out where they go. It sounds like fun tbh.
