Does Ableton HAVE it? They had it at least 6 years before Logic did lol... they call it "warping".

If you don't have to do it realtime just flatten/drag, freeze or resample the fully wet reverb, drop it into simpler, set warp complex pro, glide to glide (play/draw notes overlapped) and you are ready to play your rev tail as it is, fading or freezed, pitched as you wish

"Warping" in Ableton is time compression/expansion. In Logic that is called "Flex Time". This is Flex Pitch, it is a different function:

Warping, to all Ableton users, refers to both time and pitch. and that's been their bag since inception.

and they do it better then Logic, or at least more intuitively and quickly, having used Ableton since V1 in 2003 and whatever, and Logic since 1997 or thereabouts when it was Emagic, and their sequencer before that.

'Flex', whether time or pitch, is just Logics term for it when they aped that function.

(not that other software hadn't done it before like Acid and whatnot)

..and having said that, Live has more 'melodynesque" functionality right now on the surface like drift and whatnot, but it doesn't sound as good as either really last time I used it...

you must take into account that a reverb processes input permanently, so there is basically no such thing as the tail.

depending how the reverb was made one could "retune" the decay by changing the delay times of the feedback loop if the reverb has a hadamard matrix based diffusor...

your best bet is to shorten the decay time a bit and put a tunable echo effect on top. those should exist, i just cannot name one now.
