The fact I have barely any hardware and would already be in the “I sold my gear” phase is because I went for the plugin first and don’t need the hardware, don’t need the Yamaha Motif series because the Montage plugin exists for example. But I’m starting with plugins instead of hardware so I wouldn’t have diamonds from going the other way around… cause I am not selling my plugins!

 

I'm keeping my Roland & Korg synths, plus all of my Fender & Gibson guitars.

I did not watch the video, but when you see someone with a great gear collection just decide to sell everything, it's often because they need the money, despite the stated reasons. Especially if they are parting with expensive, rare, sentimental, or whatever kinds of gear. So my standard fallback guess is the boomer divorce joke.

• H = hardware value
• 0.50 = default “split assumption factor”

Smart man!! i was only saying that bc im not a fan of LP Scale 24.75" they sound great to me owned a few just couldnt get with the scale length im a fan of 25.5" so much more comfortable when playing on the higher frets

 

i liked that he showed a bit of the sounds

 

He's done it before. He literally buys synths to make content & then sells them so he can then make more videos.

 

You always have to ask yourself: Why are they doing this? What do they live on?
He just wants to make money, albeit indirectly!

It's a lot easier to just buy used synths and then re-sell them to make money, or at least break even. In the meantime, you can SampleRobot or Logic Audiosampler together a nice custom library out of it. But then I guess you can't complain about losing money, unless you buy stuff new or pay too much for used. New synths are like new cars, in that you get hit with the depreciation almost immediately. If his number of subscribers and views can cover for that, then good for him.

 

Can I buy only the spiders? I've a noisy mf neighbor and, even worse, the bastard is tough.
