    If you plan to use with version of BFD 3 before the latest 3.5 release, you are good-to-go. From version 3.5 forward (until further notice), you need the updated expansions. Have you checked the BFD Drums upgrade policy for older libraries and transfer of ownership guidelines (especially for upgrades)?

    There's the "inMusic Brands BFD Deluxe Collection" from 2022 available on Sister Site. It should show up in BFD 3.5 (legit or not). It's discontinued and since it's not available in any other way, I would say it's inMusic's loss but it doesn't have to be yours.

    I allready migrated some older expansions from my Fxpansion account to InMusic. And it's very simple like 1-2-3.

    BFD Deluxe are unfortunately discontinued , it would be very hard to buy now , there are also other BFD Libs which are discontinued from InMusicBrands . Maybe join the BFD Forum and ask there if someone has to sell it because FXpansion does not exist anymore and you can not transfere licenses .

    Yes, you can sell your FXpansion BFD Deluxe license, but you must follow a specific process dictated by the new owner of BFD, inMusic. License transfers are permitted, but there is a fee, and you cannot sell "Not For Resale" (NFR) copies. [1, 2, 3]
    Here is what you need to know about transferring your BFD license as of 2026:
    Key Requirements for Selling
    • License Transfer Fee: InMusic charges a flat fee of $50 per product for a license transfer.
    • Migration Required: If you have not done so already, you must first migrate your BFD products from the old FXpansion website to a new inMusic profile.
    • Support Contact: As the seller, you must contact support to initiate the transfer.
    • New Owner Benefits: Once the transfer is complete, the new owner receives full access to support and upgrade paths. [1, 2, 3, 4]
    Steps to Transfer (per BFD/InMusic):
    1. Migrate: Ensure all products are registered under your new inMusic profile, not just the old FXpansion account.
    2. Contact Support: Contact inMusic support to inform them of the sale and provide the buyer's details.
    3. Transfer Fee: Purchase the license transfer fee from the inMusic store. [1, 2]
    Note: Review copies or NFR licenses cannot be transferred.
