Hi all!

Today I turn 51 and I'm releasing a new track to mark the occasion.

Been sitting on this one since fall of last year. I was asked to create music for an upcoming Gran Turismo 4 mod last summer and this track was made specifically for it. Being a fan of the old PlayStation racing games, I pretty much jumped at the opportunity.

I don't game much anymore, but I did my best to put myself back in that headspace of playing games like Wipeout, Porsche Challenge, Gran Turismo and I'm really happy with the way it came out.

The mod should hopefully be out along with a few other surprises sometime before early summer.

I could actually hear that kind of tune while playing Ridge Racer or Gran Turismo : very well done!

@mrpsanter oh man I forgot Ridge Racer! I wasnt into as much as GT and Wipeout but it reminded me of Outrun which I loved growing up. Also Hang On for the Sega Master System as well.

Wipeout was a dodgy port on the PC, but stilla thrilla and a lot about the soundtrack... happy gaming days.

 

Sounds great(!), and for sure in a GT ballpark straight away not even thinking twice. Long time since i´ve played it but the tracks have the most recognizable sound to them, be it track selection or whoever did the mastering, similar to NFSU2 which were all remastered...but somebody did a really good job.

Anyway, i was already doing muffler upgrades and changing tires in my head the moment the track started.
