All this internet police bullshit just got me thinking

What would happen if one day we woke up and Audioz was taken down by the internet nazi's?

Is there a back up plan so that we could all meet up online again somewhere?

I'd hate to lose 'Kontakt' with you guys

It's happened over the years with sites like demonoid where you get to know the forum community and next minute....wham, the site goes offline

They couldn't take down Audiosex anyway could they as there's nothing copyrighted here?

What's your thoughts guys?

 

Regarding this forum, i don't think they'll gonna take it down as long as alot of plugins/VIs companies will find our opinions and reviews valuable. Also "promotion" is an important factor too. When a new product comes out, companies needs as much exposure as they can get, so... Audiosex it's bulletproof IMO.

 

When Evorax says "companies will find our opinions and reviews valuable", I go foward... This is the most Relevant/Important Place for Audio on the Web. They have 2, maybe 3 other places or Forums with relevance, and thats all....

Believe me, in many points, we are "partners" of them and they know it.
People that download releases, are not they Client/Customers or "future buyers". *no*
What is really wrong, is to make money with releases and we must keep "The Code" with that.

Get down the Site is an remote possibility, but if will come true, this day is not near IMO.

 

Catalyst will be one of the first to say, "test it / like it / buy it", and I'm sure many members here do. Yes we don't all buy the stuff straight away, but buying something which is total tosh and being unable to have a play first to find that out probably does more harm than good, especially if it's your own hard earned money you have wasted on "crap". The nice thing about this site is that yes you have lots of bedroom wannabees, but also pros that are actually making a living out of music, yet we all have the same goals, making good music, using the best tools available, sharing our knowledge and learning from each other.

Audiosex is clean so there's no way they could legally take it down.
But as people are blindly voting for dictatorship puppets all around the world without even notice it. May be one day they will close what ever they want, and this will not be a legal matter.

 

Before AudioSex i was part of a site called The Serious Sound Network (Shut down now because owner died ) and people would to get banned for talking about warez.. how is it that AudioSex is aloud to?

 

Rule number 3 on AUdiosex:
no warez on AudioSEX! no requests, no links sharing!

 

My thought is that one should get a life outside the web...
...and as much as I enjoy being around you all, well if they shut it down there's nothing we can do, now can we ?
And life will go on.

So, we just have to enjoy here and now, as long as we can

Yea but people talk about warez on here all the time is what i was meaning.. example: i have a cracked Kontakt can i... if you said that on TSSN you would be banned

 

You can talk about warez you just can't request or link to it. AudioZ is compliant with DMCA takedowns and doesn't host any content so until the nazis implement some new law we should be okay. We'll have much bigger things to worry about than warez by that time...like how we're going to survive the future.
