I tried (Android) and if it worked, it was nice.
It searches video correctly but when I try to watch it, it stucks, then if I click the link below it opens the official YT app and AT TIMES but not always it shows the clip, but at the very moment I couldn't download anything.

I've never had an issue but only use it to get audio versions of video i just past url from yt into ytdl and set it to audio and dl, have you updated to latest version also youtube are constantly changing to try stopping people circumventing the youtube pay wall eg adblockers and free downloaders are in a never ending arms race with youtube

Actually this is the reason why I tested it, other apps don't work either. I download stuff with other means.

I see touchscreen controller apps were mentioned. I tested lots of those (including TouchOSC), before Open Stage Control blew them all away. You can get it to do almost anything, as long as your DAW supports it, and even if it doesn't, there's likely some workaround through midi and controller scripting. It starts a local server to which any device on your network can connect as client with different setup on each, or the same one synced across multiple clients - if that's what you want. My current setup has two client windows running on PC (one of them replaces Bitwig's mixer), and one on the phone. I also made a css screensaver in it, which can also run on a TV in living room - just so you get the idea of versatility :)
If your DAW supports it, I cannot recommend OSC enough. It integrates with pretty much anything, editor is nice and intuitive, scripting part is not hard to learn (javascript), insane amount of things you can get it to do, it's lightweight, and it's beautiful. Well, at least mine is :) - but don't take my word for it, check out the screenshots. This is my 2nd screen, 1st is just Bitwig.
