As the title says;

Lately I am seeing some nice FREE libraries, which need the free Kontakt Player.
At first look - the player is only obtained from in the 'Native Access' ecosystem -_-

Is the an easy way to get the latest player version, eg. offline, or alternate method?

never heard such a thing. if it works in the free player then why wouldnt it work in the paid full kontakt? which I assume you know where to get it

 

Free libraries work in full Kontakt (legit or otherwise) so there's no particular reason to get just the Player. Be however aware that a lot of libraries are distributed through Native Access and not always shared elsewhere.

Native Access works fine alongside k'd NI software and libraries so if you want you can use NA only to download the bits that you need and not use it further.

The reason I ask is for the times I might want to only try a library pack to play with, so no need to pull on the full Kontakt.
- similar if I want to fiddle with a VST plugin in a lite host instead a full DAW.
