Fuck no! I was backstage at the Simon and Garfunkle concert on the Great Lawn in 1981 as the guest of my friend who's father was a huge DJ for a radio station in NYC, and after the show thought it would be helpful to wrap some of the seeming miles of audio cable strewn across the stage. I started with what was plugged into the amazing Pete Carr's guitar amp and began wrapping it around my forearm. It was only seconds later that the stage manager started walking over to me yelling "Asshole, get the fuck off my stage before you destroy my cables". I did! Sometimes you have to learn the hard way.

 

*sigh* even my students knew you don't roll a cable around your forearm.
