What is the latest / current version of Vital and is it still in active development?

All I can see is v1.5.5 for a long time!

 

according to discussions on the vital forums (so take it with a grain of salt) he is working on his next synth, not working on updating vital.

edit: he may release a bug fix update. or maybe not!

1.5.5 is the latest which is over 2 a half years old at this point.

 

Sorry to bump up an old thread but since I cannot leave comments on sister site (IDKW), I'm asking here:
Is there any changelog available anywhere for the new versions released?
I'm on v1.5.5 and just want to know if there's any improvement on the software to make its GUI smoother.

 

On the same boat. I am also on 1.5.5, everything working perfectly so I am not upgrading until I know what the changes are all about. Vital is my main synth (and my synth usage is not for what I would call modern electronic music, but more nostalgic/vintage synth sounds. But while Vital is a more modern sounding synth than other more analog sounding options, Matt Tytel nailed 100% the GUI and workflow for a computer screen: for me, best usability ever for any software synth, so computer friendly that it was the first and only time I felt totally comfortable designing my own presets in a software instrument. IMHO, it is the most enjoyable instrument to work with - even though I prefer the sound of other synths a little more).

So... a changelog, please!!!

Pretty much the same what I was going to say @jennyblack, so I'll keep it short: one of the rare VA synths that I regularly use and make my own presets for.

Makes me think the idea to make it free and pay only for the presets if you want them is not at all bad.

 

Spent some time searching for that changelog on his site yesterday. No dice.
Got a million expansions for this one and it's working fine with 1.6.2
