Hi guys

I am still on cibase 14 and use an x touch with a custom script. Midi remote is sometimes buggy, it disconnects randomly, the controller gets stuck and sometimes upon opening cubase, it doesnt load the controller.

So did 15 increase stability for midi remote?

Is this fixed in the new cubase update?

In general, do you think a 15 update is worth it?

 

whats that custom script? has somebody made it for you? or whats the precise meaning of custom script? i guess (wildly) your cubase problems are related to that script, not to cubase itself

 

I only started using Cubase at v15, so can't speak to differences between Cubase 14 and 15. However I do have three controllers setup via MIDI Remote; a Maschine Mikro Mk3, a Midi Fighter Twister, and a Stream Deck XL. I built profiles for the first two myself. For the Stream Deck, I run a tweaked version of the SideshowFX's Cubase Pro profile.

The only time I experience a controller not loading issue is when I forget to put Maschine in MIDI mode before running Cubase. I did have some master volume issues at one point. Narrowed that down to part of the SideshowFX Cubase profile. No issues after tweaking it.

 

I am running an X-Touch with a custom script and have had no issues going from Cubase 14 to 15. Completely stable. Is this the custom script you are using?

I have been running this one for a few years now without issue.

 

You can demo C15 for free, created projects are backward compatible with C14.
