Hey good people! I was bored today so I did this little audio demo video using the new EQ by Tim Petherick I just bought for Nebula (I still use and love nebula).
Got the original Gimme Shelter dirty multitracks (arrest me)

I went a bit over the top with the guitars EQ but it shows how Nebula and Tim Petherick eqs are so good. It's a lot of EQ and it still sounds like Rock N Roll to me and it's crazy how it glues the song together with just couple of EQ's.
I also went all in with the stupid YouTube click bait thumbnails.lol

sounds good! I would add one of his tape programs on the master as well. Help to roll off some of the highs.

But yah, I think i bought all of his recent EQ's. API, this one, and the Neve. All of em are just so good.

this is cool. shame there isnt way more nebula content on youtube. like im genuinely shocked nobody has review videos of any of these where they compare hardware to these. paul 3rd used to do them but he stopped.

 

I think the thing is that anyone that has this kind of often rare and expensive hardware probably isn't that interested in Nebula, and most people that like Nebula and use these libraries don't have the hardware to compare to. I'd also like to see more Nebula related Youtube stuff because I think that the developers of these 3rd party Nebula libraries are doing great work and deserve more support.

 

Indeed, they are more interested in fast and simple algo stuff.

 

The few people i know IRL that own these sort of pieces actually do use Nebula as well. Theres only so much hardware one can own, and chances are most people will own a rack or two. When doing a big mix, its easy to want to grab another comp, eq, etc. I think its more that the people who own this sort of hardware, are more than likely too busy to create content on Youtube.
