Introduction :

Gaia is the Greek goddess personifying the Earth, a primordial deity, and the mother of all life. Often called Mother Earth, she emerged from Chaos and birthed the sky (Uranus) and sea (Pontus). Gaia is widely depicted in art as a nurturing, full-figured woman rising from or reclining on the ground.

Gaia is the ancestral mother who bore the Titans, Cyclopes, and Giants. She played a significant role in, and often instigated, power struggles against, her husband Uranus and son Cronus.

• Gaia Hypothesis/Theory:
  Co-developed by James Lovelock and Lynn Margulis, this scientific concept proposes that living organisms and their inorganic surroundings evolve as a single, self-regulating system that maintains life on Earth.

  Anything from Psychedelic Trance to Psybient (psychedelic ambient & ambient ).....to Psychedelic Rock & Psychedelia........to Cinematic music/Fantasy Music....to Trip-hop & Tribal/Ethnic music....or simply you using your acoustic guitar or piano and writing a poem/song for Mother Gaia /Earth .

This'll most likely be the last, #20, I can create a song for until a hopeful #22 as we're moving and I need to pack up, lug all our stuff to the new location, treat the new room and reinstall my gear. I chose a bold color for the walls that I feel will support my creativity...near a Robin Egg Blue. I hope to hatch some new music like baby birds...with eyes fresh to their new surroundings though with the instincts of all that have come before them.

The stucco ceiling and the tree outside the window will surely be inspiring. Blue is the color of concentration.

 

@PulseWave .. the ceiling is smooth renovated plaster and not stucco. The circle where the light fixture will be is called a ceiling medallion and which was originally made for the room back in about 1880. It used to be flame gas lighting but was converted to electricity a few years later.

 

try sending the pictures to suno or an ai of your choice. that way you can participate with an original song!

Origin story aside, well and good, that's still only skirting around my question of the literal "nature" of the feminine Gaia which is one than has been floating around my mind ever since picking up a copy of Lovelock's Gaia perhaps 45 years ago . Entering my thought upon waking this morning I realized that the cells of our body reproduce without the need of a partner of their microcosmic reflected binary, though the organized whole be it XY or XX (or fertile variations) as the macro certainly does need a partner. Gaia as a part of that universal whole developed the ability of self sustainability as long as conditions so warrant, ie, the sun eventually dying, Gaia being destroyed by some cosmic event, etc.

What might be the outcome of an advanced mechanized silicon based lifeform coming upon Gaia after their being damaged and unable to repair their ship, at the mercy of galactic winds and entropy whilst flying by helpless to maneuver towards the planet and explore this rare phenomenon while just moments away from falling into the sun.

Hmmm.

Kinda/ almost reminds me of the story of Icarus…at least we know who his father was…..Daedalus! :

The myth of Icarus and Daedalus is a classic Greek tale of hubris, invention, and tragic consequences. The master craftsman Daedalus fashioned wings of feathers and wax for himself and his son, Icarus, to escape imprisonment in Crete. Despite warning Icarus not to fly too high, the youth, intoxicated by flight, soared too close to the sun, melting his wings and plunging to his death in the sea.

 

Thank goodness for Daedalus, if it weren't for him there wouldn't be one of my favorite movies, Labyrinth. Too bad for his son Icarus, though...

Maybe...so wrote Oscar Wilde
