I've been messing around with a few songs that I would like to release in the near future.

Lately I have been seeing reels on FB and Instagram with books on how to get thousands of streaming on the day of your release by getting your songs on playlists. Song Release Checklist (or something like that) has been the latest one I have seen a lot of.

I've heard others say these things are scams and the likelihood of it working for you are very minimal.

Just curious as to the approach of some of the fine folk here and how you manage to have a successful launch.

I was in a popular band in my country before streaming became the main thing. I just want to do my own thing now. Not interested in playing live, just want to create and stream/upload music.
Any advice (or point me in the right direction) on how to get on these playlists would be appreciated.

From what I understand and have been told, the labels are in full control of the popular playlists, and independents have no chance of getting on them.
