Looking good, simple, playable and get´s you engaged just enough. Never ever played this tho.

It is "loose" aim, but it feels tiny bit more organic that way :) .

You could, and it still wouldn't change anything.
That is not fact, only opinion (for now - I'm sure researchers and studies will have their say eventually). Vastly dependent on the quality of said book or movie, and on the reader's intellect. Gaming is fun, but doesn't develop the intellect as vigorously and reliably as reading a well written book.
Agree 100% - I compose with pen and paper, usually on piano (sometimes on the kitchen table, just pen and paper). Exactly what does gaming "require" though, that's "art?" I'll wait.
I've also been using it since then, and I was then, and still am, extremely proficient at it (also: I play in all my written parts myself, in real time - if you call that "patience" what would you call the time wasting gaming is?

Last but not least, resorting to attacking/criticizing a GUI, and slighting a DAW used by professionals worldwide - what does that say about your arguments in favor (note the positive) of gaming?

Stick to your console if you like - I've no issues - I just stated that I've no time for gaming, the only "game" is music. I used Logic as a computer program - pen and paper didn't seem a fair comparison. Sorry I hurt your gaming feelings - please apologize to your favorite game(s) - and MOMA! - on my behalf.

Nice, I'm a big Metroidvania guy as well. I played/finished both 1&2 of Axiom Verge. Not a bad game.

I'm also big into Souls Likes too. There's a few games that are good combos of those two genres, like Mandragora.

Ahh, not attacking anything. It's just quirky. For example: A simple thing like routing all Kontakt mixer channels to discrete daw mixer channels takes quite longer than with any other DAW. And for that level of quirkiness that goes with Logic in all so many menus and hidden functionality, meaning it does things differently than most DAWs and not in the most intuitive way, people who work with Logic regularly, have my respect more than any other DAW user. You, not so much because while you are way beyond experienced, you stopped thinking outside the box, not everything is black and white. It never was or will be. Meaning what seems as an attack on a particular soft was actually a praise to its users.
Oh really... Exactly the same as making art. Nothing but a knack for it.
It is not peculiar that the last years the gaming industry has surpassed the movie and the music industry in revenue and net income. Because the requirements are all a good movie or show series needs but add to this all the complexity of the various interactive elements. But it is not about admiring the "art" requirements for making a game. Half of it is craft as in coding, but what you experience is entertainment that at times can be very deep and has many artists in there doing their own thing each and everyone. It can challenge your way of thinking and present you with puzzles or dilemmas that will rival your critical thought.
For artists, it is the inspiration that gaming brings. Immersion in fantasy worlds and story telling that can rival a good movie.
You will never know how much i respect the pen and paper discipline. To populate that paper with notes though, something has to emerge from somewhere and that "somewhere" place, is different to each and any of us. While we have some common ground to speak about we also listen and experience life differently, therefore we channel the muse in our own individual way. So, i am sorry man, you should try something like The Last of Us and see if it's wasted time or not. Btw, i know you won't, i had to try though, don't blame me for it. But everytime i hear you speak, you are dead serious. All this about wasting time. When i talk about my music i talk about my art, my creations. You obviously talk about your job. So while we may be peers, we look at creation from a very different perspective. I do respect your relentless focus. But you know what they say. All work no play...
    Peace

I just drive around in GTA V Enhanced, with no missions. Maybe once every 10 days. No need to play anything else.
This is to make sure that my computer is still fully functional and powerful. ))
