Hi. I have a VR version of serum 2, previously it worked great, but then I tried to update to 2.0.24, and now only the AU version is showing up in ableton. I have tried reinstalling, going back to the previous version, but each time I try to re-install, only the au versions show up and the VST versions do not - even though they are in the correct system folder (audio-plugins-vst3/vst).

I tried code-designing according the tutorials online, but it also did not work. But not sure I did it correctly.
Anyone have any advice?
Would be much appreciated as I need to finish some projects this weekend that all use serum 2 in the vst3 versions.

in Terminal:
sudo xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Serum2.vst3
sudo codesign --deep --force --sign - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Serum2.vst3

if still not working, try loading the VST3 file in Bluecat's Patchwork standalone. If it works then, reboot.

A few people reported problems with this version, and mentioned going back to the older version, but that is common anyway,
If you have to do a full uninstall and cleanup, use Wideblue Sound Audio Plugin Uninstaller or use Find Any File.

I have no suggestions besides these, other than if isn't broke don't fix it. If you have things to do, wait until you do them before you update anything, Load the AU version in Patchwork inside the DAW you want the vst3 for.

For some reason doing the codes in terminal did not work but clearing the xattr via batch mod did the trick!
