    Hey everyone,
I finished this techno track and I’d really appreciate some feedback.
I’m mainly looking for thoughts on the mix (especially kick/bass balance), overall groove, and whether the track works from a techno perspective. Also open to any comments on arrangement or sound design.
Would love to hear what works and what doesn’t — all feedback is welcome.
    Thanks in advance

I like it alot! I think that everything went pretty good together except your synth that plays I could would have changed it a bit so its more melodic but you could have been going for that tbh. Also id turn down the kick a bit. That damn kick SLAPS haha xD just so it mixes in better with the mix instead of being super loud above it all. Great job though.

Hi. The track does work in general, I think. The mids/highs of the kick are too loud. Not a little too loud but a lot. It overpowers everything else in a way that it grabs all the attention, and it becomes the only focus of the track. The low end is ok, I think, even though it is difficult to say because the kick is too loud. When the kick was filtered, it did sound alright to me.

I downloaded Ableton Live 3 years ago. I'd be delighted and fulfilled if I can make something like this!

Great arrangement and "push", essential in techno, and you have it in spades.

Needs some work making the low end thick, punchy, warm. Then it can 100% sound like a record. Maybe you can collab with someone who mixes really well and can do some basic mastering finishing touches for you, it's the last stretch but too important to try to do it yourself.

Plus you need to work on your next banger, not on tweaky little obsessive EQ things in this one, that you already got sounding as best you could using what you have. Good luck. Excellent techno track here but I think you're being held back by your room/what you listen to it on for mixing the kick and sub, it's coming across weird and pointy.

If you insist on fixing it yourself, try changing what you're listening on and examine how that kick/sub is doing in this mix. Collect everything you have access to and listen on it, alternating between the stuff, even if it's crap speakers/headphones. You're probably not going to like what you hear after all this work put into it, but it's more truthful in a way than the current setup you have that drove you to mix the kick/sub this way. If you mixed it on headphones, even just doing different headphones can be an eye opener. You can get some kind of idea what to aim at by listening to a reference track (again on all the stuff you have available). It can be done, you just have to be a BDSM kind of a guy and hate yourself - or you can collab with a good mixer, get it done, make a new track instead while they work on it!
